We are very excited about our new submission format and hope
it will be a blessing to you and your family. Our mission to feature stories
of God's Blessings to share hope and inspiration around the world
continues. We are here to encourage everyone, of all faiths.
Blessings
for Life has been online since the spring of 2001, offering
encouragement and support for the online community. We began back when
most people didn't know what a Web site was. You should have seen the
looks people gave me when I told them what my job was... you have a what?
A who? What for?
Boy, times have definitely changed, haven't they?
But one thing never changes,
our need for the Living God. With Him, everything and
everyone has hope.
"Then
Job replied to the Lord: 'I know that you can do all things; no plan

Several years ago, at the
height of our work here at BlessingsforLife, we were blessed
with 27 writers. It was wonderful. Then the
Internet started booming and some of us got side tracked
with other projects. Life got really busy. It
was a difficult lesson to learn that there are only so many
hours in a day and a person can only work so much.
My Personal Story
In 2006 my mother, Julie
McDonald, agreed to
help me get back to what we called God's Web site;
BlessingsforLife. I definitely needed her
assistance. I showed her how to get started and gave
her all the work I had started. But she was not
feeling well. Then my husband got a job transfer back
to Atlanta, less than a year after she had moved from
Atlanta to North Carolina to be with us. So we all
started preparations to move back home, we'd been gone for
over 20 years. We bought a house, she bought a
house. Then the week before she was scheduled to move,
she became very ill. She was diagnosed with colon
cancer on January 2, 2007. It had spread to her
liver. I went back to NC and stayed in the hospital
with her for several weeks. She developed
complications from the surgery and got worse day by
day. She died 30 days later, on February 2,
2007. Our family was devastated.
My mom was my best
friend. I did not think it was possible to live
without her. Now it's been five years and I am still
here. I still don't understand it, and I don't know
what God's plan is. But I know He has one.
I think it has something to
do with being here for my family, and for YOU. I know
my mom is smiling down on us from heaven, happy to see us
finally getting back to work on "God's Site!"
Our Christian Faith
We believe Jesus Christ is
the Son of God and that He died for our sins. He is
our Lord and Savior. We believe that faith and
salvation is a gift, it cannot be earned.
We love all of God's
children. We believe that in all things God
works for the good of those that love Him (Romans 8:28), and that
all who call upon the name of Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior will be
saved (John 3:16).
